Anthony is a Senior Advisor. He has over 29 years’ professional experience as a Fixed Income Investor and Portfolio Manager. He started his career at IBJ Intl. where he was responsible for investment in the Japanese and US government bond markets. He then moved to SCMI Ltd as head of Fixed Income responsible for devising investment strategy and tactical asset allocation in Global Fixed Income Markets.
In 1996 Anthony joined the Fixed Income team at Deutsche Morgan Grenfell, as a result of takeover in 2005, the team became part of Aberdeen Asset Management. In this role he was responsible for investment strategy and tactical asset allocation across all fixed income asset classes, for a number of benchmark driven and total return portfolios. Anthony’s clients, included: UK local authority (LGPS) and corporate, defined benefit pension schemes; central bank reserves; insurance companies and charitable foundations. He was also responsible for the analysis and reporting of market and client portfolio performance, as well as providing advice on the economic and financial market outlook, asset class development and investment strategy.
Anthony was also a member of the team responsible for strategic and tactical asset allocation for a number of multi asset pension funds and charitable foundations.
For the last 5 years of his time at Aberdeen Asset Management he was a member of the Consultative, and Chair of the Investment, Committee of the Group Pension Plan. He was part of the team, responsible for deciding which asset classes and funds should be available on the DC fund platform; the constituents of the ‘Life style’ funds, their level of investment risk and monitoring the performance outcomes, to ensure they were consistent with that level of risk.
Anthony joined the MJ Hudson Allenbridge team of investment advisors in January 2016.
